Agricultural Byproducts
Sizhou Town, Jiangxi Province, China, 2006
Countless images out of a classic tradition depict bamboo stalks rising with patient grace beside pools of water. Rarely was the pond cluttered with refuse; now, however, villages from the developed east to the struggling west to newly bounding central provinces like Jiangxi are accumulating masses of trash behind homes, beside roads, and in any place that will receive garbage at short convenience. The new plenty of disposable products creates the problem of how their disposal can be achieved without sullying people’s homes.
